This scenario constitutes the second part of a work that occupied the afternoon activities of the children of the Santa Croce school, and was designed to unite the European project ECEC with another European project dealing with cinema created and aimed at younger age groups.
In accordance with the principles of the Montessori method, a familiar topic was chosen: specifically, a song about the quiet, stress-free life of a wise turtle. The song only talks about the turtle, while the children were given another character: a snail. The children were given the task of thinking up a story (the song does not mention this), just as one does in a screenplay. The teacher wrote down the ideas, giving them a written form that could later be read back to the group.
The children finally realised it completely independently (one child took turns shooting the frames while the other moved the figures), reaching the considerable number of 240 frames!
Finally, the two stanzas of the song from which all the work had started were added as a soundtrack
